Chhattisgarh Solar Conclave Marks a Milestone in the State’s Green Energy Transition

In a significant push toward clean energy, the Chhattisgarh State Chapter of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), in collaboration with Tata Power, Jindal Steel Limited, and the BSP Auxiliary Industries Association, successfully hosted the Chhattisgarh Solar Conclave in Raipur today. The event brought together key stakeholders, industry leaders, and experts from the renewable energy sector.
Harnessing the Sun: A Vision for Sustainable Growth
Welcoming participants, Mr. Pradeep Tandon, Chairman of PHDCCI Chhattisgarh State Chapter, emphasized the state’s vast potential in solar energy. “Chhattisgarh is ideal not just for large solar parks but also for decentralized rooftop systems and innovative energy storage solutions. Through this conclave, we aim to drive investments, promote public-private partnerships, and pave the way for sustainable development,” he said.
Stakeholders Voice Strong Commitment
Mr. Ratan Das Gupta, President of BSP Auxiliary Association Bhilai, underscored the state’s strategic advantage. “With abundant sunlight and available land, Chhattisgarh is well-positioned to lead India’s renewable energy shift. Solar solutions must be extended to farmers, MSMEs, and local communities, integrating smart technologies like AI and energy storage.”
Representing the state’s power utility, Mr. Bimbisar Nagarjun, Superintending Engineer at CSPDCL, highlighted the company’s green goals: “This conclave is a meaningful step toward a greener Chhattisgarh. We are committed to making renewable energy the backbone of the state’s development.”
Mr. D.D. Sidar, Executive Engineer at CREDA, reiterated the agency’s focus on clean energy expansion across the state. “CREDA is dedicated to promoting awareness, innovation, and energy security through renewable solutions.”
Technology and Partnerships in Focus
Mr. Debabrata Chakraborty, Regional Manager of Tata Power, along with his team and Phoenix Solar Channel Partner, delivered a technical presentation highlighting advanced solar technologies and implementation models. “We are proud to support Chhattisgarh’s energy transition through innovation and community-driven initiatives,” he stated.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mr. Sumit Dubey, Resident Director of PHDCCI Chhattisgarh, who acknowledged the valuable contributions of all speakers and participants in making the conclave a success.
